During the debate on Monday I was the expert on economy as Mike Huckabee. I was extremely nervous this was the more nervous I have ever been. As soon as I had been called up my heart was pounding and I was shaking I wouldn't be surprised if my voice was trembling as I spoke but now this sounds too cheesy. Anyways I felt unprepared but I was prepared I had about 3 pages of notes, I even annotated, I obviously was prepared because I was voted one of the best delegates. As soon as it was over I felt very relived, but it was a good experience and I wouldn't mind doing it again.
Huckabee, McCain, and Romney's views weren't far too different from each other, however I have a better understanding in Huckabee's. His economic views made sense to me, and I wasn't disappointed by them. I believe they make sense and his reasonings have good intent. In both the research sites I used he says that his short economic goals will lead up to greater ones and that definitely makes sense. I wouldn't mind his views taking place for real.
The day we chose topics to study about I had to leave early and was assigned a topic rather than being able to choose. As the debates went on I realized I was very passionate about stem cell research and couldn't believe some presidents were against it only being "its like playing god." The only reason why that is true is because we could potentially clone babies, however this hasn't been done, nor is this a major intent. Also you can gather stem cells without harming or evening needing to use an embryo. This topic completely fascinates me, and I would definitely fund it.
